Ricky Busbee comes from a line of family land surveyors and has been surveying his whole life. In his younger days, he had worked for some large surveying firms and some small ones as well. After becoming a licensed land surveyor in the state of Georgia, he founded R.C. Busbee and Associates in 1990. After gaining traction and building up his reputation as a great land surveyor he changed the company name to Busbee Land Surveying. The company had great success behind the leadership of Ricky. However, the global economic crunch and the recession starting in 2007 took a toll on the business. Ricky poured his heart and soul into the company to provide jobs for his employees. These were tough times for us and tough times for America. But just as Americans persevered so did Ricky. The business was able to keep its doors open and restructure in 2010, Ricky partnered with Michael Poss and founded Busbee and Poss Land Surveying. Michael earned his land surveying license and has been working with Ricky since 2004. Michael brought his knowledge of new technology and work ethic to the firm. The combination of Ricky's experience, knowledge, and work ethic combined with Michael's fresh perspective, technological advances, and attention to detail have made Busbee and Poss a reliable and important company in the field of land surveying. Today, the company has shrunk in size from what it was prior to 2007 but as a small business Ricky and Michael are both hands-on with every survey that passes through the company. Having two licensed surveyors on every project gives us a major advantage when it comes to reliability, accuracy, and precision.
